03 Sep 2024

FlySafair will commence a new service connecting Windhoek to Cape Town on 22 October 2024:

  • Cape Town International Airport (CPT) to  Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH), twice weekly (Tuesday and Saturday)

Air Connect Namibia welcomes the introduction of the route, which will increase regional integration, making it easier for both tourist and business travelers to explore and experience the diverse cultures and business opportunities of the two Southern African destinations.

Commencing on 22 October 2024, FlySafair will operate a twice-weekly service connecting Cape Town International Airport (CPT) in Cape Town to Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH) in Windhoek. The route will not only enhance access between the Namibian capital and South Africa’s “Mother City” but also provide consumers with increased choice when flying. The new route will operate on Tuesday and Saturday.

Cape Town is Namibia’s second-largest international destination city based on two-way passengers, with the increased capacity on the route set to further strengthen ties between the two iconic cities.

" We are thrilled to welcome FlySafair's new service, which will undoubtedly benefit our tourism and business sectors. The new service will bolster travel between Windhoek and Cape Town and open up opportunities for greater cultural exchange and economic collaboration. This direct connection enhances our efforts to position Namibia as a must-visit destination for travelers from South Africa and beyond. We encourage both leisure and business visitors to take advantage of this convenient new service to discover the beauty, adventures, and warm hospitality that Namibia has to offer." said Bisey/Uirab Air Connect Namibia Chairperson and CEO of the NAC.
